ABOUT St. Joseph’s Convent Girls High School
St Joseph’s Convent Girl’s School aims to impart sound education, in-still praiseworthy values, and create balanced judgment and a robust physique so as to enable the pupils to develop into responsible citizens. The school, a minority institution registered as a teaching school by the Education Department of the Government of Maharashtra is administered by the Sisters of the Congregation of Carmelite Religious, which is a Catholic Religious Minority Institution, in accordance with the rights enshrined in the Constitution of India.
The Congregation of the sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes was founded in France in the year 1843 by six young peasant girls who had a special experience of God, which urged them to live TOGETHER a life of contemplation.
Thus living in communion, they became sensitive to the needs of the people around and responded enthusiastically to their call to educate children & care for the sick. Later they responded to other forms of service. Their main aim in Education was to ensure the Christian formation of youth and to help the poor.
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes was established in the year 1882.
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes started a primary school for the Indian Girls in 1899 in a house donated by Smt. Rajamma Thamboo Chetty. Since then the school came to be known as R.T.C. Girls School. In 1944 Mother Stanislaus was in charge of the higher classes l, ll, and all Forms, and later in the same year, inspired by God, Mother Maurice took over the school as the first Headmistress of the R.T.C. High School.
During the course of time R.T.C. High School came to be known as St. Joseph’s Convent Girls High School. As the years rolled by, the school witnessed immense growth and witnessed the silver Jubilee Celebration in 1968. With the fast speeding years and growing numbers, the school celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 1994 and Platinum Jubilee in the year 2019. St. Joseph’s Convent School, a Minority Institution Registered as a teaching school by the Education Department of the Government of Maharashtra is administered by the Sisters of the Congregation of Carmelite Religious, which is a Catholic Religious Minority Institution,
The Course of studies of the School is arranged according to the syllabus laid down by the Department of Education, Maharashtra State Government.

ADMISSION AT St. Joseph’s Convent Girls High School
Criteria for Admission :-
- Students will have to meet the school’s Rules & Regulations regarding eligibility for admission.
- Admissions are made in the month of March / April every year.
- Admissions to L.K.G is based on the interview of the child & parents.
- Admission to higher classes will be given on the basis of performance in the entrance test and interview.
- An offer letter will be sent to the parents of students who fulfill all requirements which include the forwarding of references from the previous school.
Admission Details & Policy :-
Admission will be made normally to Pre -Nursery, L.K.G, U.K.G. on producing a birth certificate, however admissions right from class I to Class X will be filtered through written test, eligible students will be given admissions into eligible classes on producing TC, progress report from the previous school of study

Auditorium:
St. Joseph’s auditorium is a hub of activities. It is large and well equipped for various academic and cultural activities.
Social Science Room:
The Social Science room is designed to support students aiming to be future teachers. It contains of a collection of charts, maps, globes, models, kits and some multi-media materials for different subjects.
Computer Lab:
“Teaching in the digital age implies that we prepare them for tomorrow’s skills today”, Our Computer Lab consist of 20 PC’s. It is spacious, well equipped with the projector display system and can accommodate 40 students at a time.
Library cum Reading Room:
The Library is well equipped, spacious & bright. It can accommodate about 100 students. It has 4718 valuable reference books. Students can utilize these books to gain knowledge and information on world affairs. The library is stocked with: Encyclopedias, Journals, Magazines, Newsletters, Newspapers, Subject related books, novels, dictionaries, and various other items to enrich and enhance knowledge.
Science Lab:
The Science Laboratory has the latest, modern equipment, chemicals, working and non-working models, charts, and specimens to carry out various experiments related to the different branches of Science.

Playground:
