Mission & vision of KLE Society School Bangalore

The roots of our school are strongly embedded into the motto of our KLE Society, “ SATYA, PREMA, SEVE, SWARTHA TYAGA” KLE Society School of Rajajinagar was founded in 2000. The aerial view of the school captures the Metro train track, high-rise buildings, a canopy of rain trees. This serene environment truly reflects the spirit of the school. Established in the year 2002, this School began with a student strength of 123 and staff strength of 8. Today, we have 1091 students and 99 staff members. Having obtained affiliation to CBSE Board (New Delhi), our first Class X batch students cleared the Board Examination with flying colors in April 2008. Our school was upgraded to Senior Secondary School in 2012.

We cater to pupils aged from 5.8 years to 18 years. We regard all children as being unique and take pride in working closely with every child, nurturing individual strengths and talents. KLE’s Curriculum

The curriculum at the KLE Society School is set to meet the standards of the CBSE board to enable the students to perform well at the CBSE Board exams. The adapted curriculum is aided with several curricular and co-curricular activities which enable each student to realize his/her maximum innate potential and develop themselves into academically proficient, morally upright and socially responsible individuals to face the challenges of our changing society.

Assessment

Parameters of assessment
Scholastic performance: Both marks and grades will be awarded for individual subjects.
Co-scholastic performance: Grades will be awarded for non-scholastic performance in three categories – Work Education (or prevocational education), Art Education, and Health and Physical Education.
Discipline: Grades will be awarded to students after evaluating their commitment to discipline, which includes attendance, sincerity, behaviour and values.
Weightage and examination pattern
For class IX

The pattern of examination for class IX will be similar to that of class X with only one exam at the end of the academic year. Out of a total of 100 marks, 80 marks have been assigned to written exams while the remaining 20 have been divided between three disciplines:

Grades 9 and 10 – Whole Syllabus

Periodic tests (10 marks), 2. Notebook submission (5 marks) 3. Subject Enrichment Activity (5 marks).
For classes VI to VIII

Classes VI to VIII will have the same format of assessment. However, a class year has been divided into two Terms. So, students of these classes will have to appear for exams twice a year, i.e., at the end of each Term. While questions in the Term 1 exam will be based on the syllabus covered during that term, a certain percentage of questions in the Term 2 exam will be based on the Term 1 syllabus.

Grade 6 – 10% of Term 1

Grade 7 – 20% of Term 1

Grade 8 – 30% of Term

For classes I to V

Classes I to V will have the same format of assessment. A class year has been divided into two terms. Students of these classes will have to appear for exams twice a year, i.e. end of each Term. Questions in Term 1 and 2 will be based on the syllabus covered during that term.

Admission Details of KLE Society School Bangalore

The Registration Form, duly filled, must be submitted along with the registration fees in cash, prior to taking the admission test.
The Registration Form must be accompanied by a copy of Birth Certificate, reports of scholastic achievement from the previous school and 2 passport size photographs.
Admission for grades 1st and 2nd shall be based on an informal interaction with the child in the school campus.
Admissions for Grades I to XIth (depending on available vacancies) shall be based on a diagnostic in English, Mathematics, Hindi and Science (age grade
appropriate knowledge and skills are tested) followed by interactions with the academic team of educators.

Tests are organized on an age appropriate curriculum and skill sets.

Once the child has been tested and assessed, the outcome of the tests is usually discussed within 2 days (maximum) with parents/ guardians.
Once admission is confirmed, admission and associated processes are to be completed by the due date; this also includes paying the identified fees.
Once the admission formalities are completed, we welcome the child as a member of KLE family. Joining guidelines will be given to the student at this point.
